Notes from a studio — amazing women

Today is International Women’s Day and so I wanted to use this platform to celebrate not just some of the most amazing women in my life, but quite frankly some of the most amazing people in my life (they just happen to be women).

Firstly, I have to mention all of the incredible women who work at Thursday. Of the 22 employees here, 12 are women and they are all brilliant at what they do, whether that be marketing, strategy, branding, client services, project management, finance etc etc. They are all wonderful staff but more importantly, wonderful people. I am so grateful to work with them all.

Secondly to my closest family, which includes my two amazing daughters (Jess and Lily) and of course my beautiful wife, Katy. It brings me so much joy to see my daughters growing and learning. I have such high hopes for their futures and they have dealt with this horrible pandemic so well. My wife is my rock, I know that sounds cheesy, but it’s true. She makes me smile and laugh every day and is the reason I am where I am, as I wrote in this LinkedIn post.

My wife, Katy and daughters Lily and Jess. x

Finally, to my mother. Diana Harmer — an extraordinary woman, who raised three (at times impossible) boys on her own and helped us to go on and become who we are today. She is simply a wonderful, loving, caring, kind and beautiful woman and I love her dearly. With Mother’s Day fast approaching and on International Women’s Day, what better time to simply say — Thank you, Mum. x
